NSW land registration system 100% online from 11 October 2021

The Registrar General of NSW has declared that, as of 11 October 2021 (cessation day):

  • all NSW paper certificates of title (CTs) are cancelled,
  • the Registrar-General’s online property records are the sole evidence of registered land title in NSW,
  • transfers of title and registration of leases, easements and other property dealings can only be done online.

Only lawyers, licensed conveyancers, banks and government departments are authorised to register property dealings online.
